Oorvana Palli

OORVANA PALLI ( IREC – Indian Reptiles Research, Education and Conservation Centre)

It prioritizes research, education, and conservation concerning Indian reptiles. The primary objective of this voluntary organization, ‘Reptile School’ (Urvana Palli), is to disseminate knowledge about reptiles not only within the scientific community but also to the general public.
The organization believes that by understanding reptile species, we can coexist harmoniously with nature without disturbing them.
It is the organization’s hope and expectation that the Government of India will eventually adopt and implement this initiative dedicated to Indian reptiles.

Understanding Snakebite Risks

Snakebite Mitigation

Snakebite Mitigation is the practice of preventing and reducing the risk of snakebites in human communities.

It focuses on spreading awareness, encouraging safe practices, and providing timely medical support to save lives. By educating people on how to avoid snake encounters and what to do in case of a bite, snakebite mitigation aims to protect both people and snakes, ensuring safe coexistence with nature.
